In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.
The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Features
Players who finish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Exclusive implements

Third Free Story Addition
This update also brings the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery."
